The Inspire for Change Initiative (ICI) is a refugee-led non-profit, community-based
organization established on June 2, 2023, by a group of passionate refugee youths with a shared
vision of driving sustainable development in Kakuma Refugee Camp and its surroundings. Our
initiatives and thematic work areas focus on improving livelihoods, expanding educational
opportunities, promoting environmental management, and advancing data analytics skill sets and
employability as displaced persons rebuild their lives.
At ICI, we believe in collaboration as the key to creating lasting change. We actively partner with
local communities, Government Agencies, Donors, NGOs, private sectors, media, and academia
to build a strong network of support that amplifies the impact of our community-driven initiatives.
Together with partners, we are working toward creating a fair, inclusive, and sustainable society
in Kakuma, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
