According to the UNHCR report (2024) globally, 120 million people are displaced, including 14.8 million school-aged refugees. With 49% out of school and only 7% in higher education, targeted initiatives are critical for access and inclusion.

Higher Education Support

The project aims to empower Kakuma refugee students aged 18-30 who have completed secondary school to apply for undergraduate scholarships in Kenya and abroad. Refugees seeking higher education have historically had limited access to information, resources, and application support. The project aims to address this gap by providing tailored guidance on the application process and increasing access to information.

English Language

The project’s goal is to teach English to girls and women who have dropped out of school in the camp. We aim to provide women in the camp with English skills in order to increase confidence, self-esteem, and access to vocational training, jobs, and opportunities by eliminating language barriers in academic and social contexts.
