THE TEAM BEHIND OUR MISSION
Badawi Abdalla kuku
Badawi Abdalla Kuku is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Inspire for Change -CBO (I4C), a community based organization based in Kakuma. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Kenyatta University and is a certified CPA (K).
Badawi has over five years of experience working with refugee-led and humanitarian organizations. His role includes providing strategic leadership and management, building partnerships with local and international organizations, and advocating for funding opportunities. His motivation is to “create impact, inspire change, and make a difference in the lives of displaced communities”.
Mohamed Anur
Mohamed Anur is the Co-Founder and Deputy Director of Inspire for Change-CBO. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Administration from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
Mohamed has extensive experience working in humanitarian and refugee contexts. His previous roles include serving as a Hygiene Promoter with NRC for one year, a Teacher with LWF for two years, a Community Mobilizer with Windle International Kenya for two years, an Enumerator with UNHCR, and a Facilitator with Faulu Production.
His responsibilities at I4C include developing strategic plans, supporting strategic leadership and management, and leading proposal writing and resource mobilization efforts. He believes that refugees have the ability to transform their lives when they are empowered with the right knowledge and skills
Nathaniel Ohucholi Peter
Nathaniel Ohucholi Peter is a co-founder and program manager of Inspire for Change-CBO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Community Development from Kenyatta University. He has more than four years of experience working with humanitarian agencies in Kakuma Refugee Camp, including Windle International Kenya (WIK), and the Lutheran World Federation (LWF). His roles are overseeing the planning and designing of the programs, the implementation of the programs, and monitoring the project activities of the organization. Nathaniel believes that “every refugee deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential
Katerina Paul Karu
Katerina Paul Karu is a Human Resource Officer at Inspire for Change-CBO. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Development Studies from Kenyatta University. Her work experience includes working with LWF as a Community Mobilizer for the Kadana Refugee Led Network Chapter in Kakuma and Assistant Researcher with Terres Des Hommes (TDH). Her role in the organization is to implement strategies that boost employee engagement, measure and improve performance, and contribute to employee retention. She is passionate about “advocating for women’s rights in accessing livelihood opportunities to improve their lives.”
Musin Khamis Musa
Musin Khamis Musa is the head of finance and administration and cofounder at Inspire for Change-CBO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Kenyatta University. His work experience is; two years teaching with Windle International Kenya, and one year as a field coordinator with Okapi Green LTD. He has an ICDL for basic digital literacy and ICDL for professionals’ skills. his roles are developing fundraising strategies for the organization, and ensuring accounting and finance operations in accordance with Inspire for Change-CBO standards and donors’ requirements.
