WHAT WE DO

OUR PROGRAMS

Education

We provide training and mentorship to high school graduates and undergraduate refugees who have limited access to tertiary education opportunities to strengthen their scholarship application processes through the Higher Education Support Project (HESP).

We connect and support students to sit for English Language tests like the Duolingo test, IELTS, and TOEFL in our education hub to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.

Livelihoods

We train refugee youth on entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and digital literacy to support them in starting business initiatives, expanding existing businesses and enhancing employability.

Environmental Conservation

We offer training to green clubs established by Inspire for Change in partnership with refugee schools on waste management practices and tree planting.

Advocacy

At I4C-CBO, we believe in the principle “Nothing About Us Without Us,” as articulated in the International Day of Disabled Persons in 2004. We advocate for the full inclusion of refugees in decision-making processes related to the issues that impact their lives.  We champion refugees’ participation in matters or policies that affect them and ensure that the solutions are driven by them.

STRATEGIC GOALS

Our program primarily focuses on supporting refugees and host community youth, aged 18 to 35, who are eager to rebuild their lives and create lasting change.

  •  Promote Environmental conservation and Climate Resilience. We engage youths and communities in sustainable practices such as reforestation and waste management so as to mitigate the impacts of climate change
  •  Expand Access to tertiary education for refugee youths by offering training and mentorship to increase the success rate in scholarship opportunities.
  •  Strengthen partnerships and synergies to ensure Organizational sustainability. We will maintain and expand collaborations with donors, NGOs, Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs), and community leaders to ensure the sustainability of our work.
  • Empower Refugees with Digital and Technological Skills through data analytics to enhance their employability in today’s digital world.
  •  Advocate for the full inclusion of refugees in policy formulation at local, national, and
international levels. Through capacity-building and leadership programs, our goal is to support 100 refugee leaders by 2027, empowering them to represent their communities and influence decisions that impact their lives.
